Volkswagen Caddy Maxi Life Estate (2010 - 2015) practicality
If safety is your priority the Caddy is a good choice because it is brimming with equipment to keep you out of harm's way. The features that come as standard include Electronic Stabilisation Programme (ESP), Anti-lock Braking System (ABS), traction control, automatic hazard lights activation under emergency braking, driver and front passenger airbags, front side airbags, electronic differential lock, engine drag torque control, daytime running lights, Thatcham immobiliser and alarm (Category 1).
Practicality is key in this sector of the market. The Caddy Maxi Life fares well and offers plenty of storage spaces as well as being flexible when it comes to seating and loading arrangements. There are a couple of cubbies in the centre console that can hold 250ml cans or small bottles. For those of you that prefer a map to a sat-nav you'll be pleased to know that there is a overhead space ideally suited for keeping maps in.
Move to the rear of the Caddy Maxi and there is an ample amout of room with all seats in place. Luggage space with the third row of seats removed amounts to 1.6 metres cubed and this expands to 3.9 metres cubed when the second row is removed and the second row of seats are folded.
