Aston Martin is offering a new special edition Vantage model. The Vantage N420 draws inspiration from the company’s exploits at the famous German Nürburgring  24-hour race.

The Vantage N420 is based on the standard 4.7-litre V8 Vantage model with 420bhp, but it gets a selection of race-inspired additions to add to its individuality.

Firstly it is 27kg lighter than the regular model, mainly due to the use of carbon fibre splitter, side strakes and diffuser. Buyers also get 10-spoke alloys with gloss black finish; black mesh vents and altered exhaust finishing.

Inside it gets graphite instruments, leather or Alcantara steering wheel, N420 sill plaques and carbon fibre seats.

Under the body the N420 gets the Sport Pack - normally offered as an option - as standard. This comes with revised springs, dampers and anti-roll bar which the company claims gives it more responsive and dynamic handling. A new sports exhaust is also included but is mainly for audible pleasure rather than performance.

To finish off the new offerings from Aston Martin is a selection of special edition paints including green, yellow and blue.

The N420 will be available as a coupe or roadster with six-speed manual or Sportshift automatic gearbox with deliveries beginning in august and prices starting at £96,995.
