Peugeot unveils special edition 207

Peugeot's 207 hatchback has received a minor revamp in the form of a special edition called the 'Sportium'.

The car, based on the previous 'Millesim' special edition, comes with six airbags, electric windows, CD player, trip computer, electric heated door mirrors, iPod connectivity, Bluetooth, air-con, front fog lights and colour-coded and chromed trim.

Also fitted are alloy wheels - 15-inch on petrol models and 16-inch on diesel versions, a leather steering wheel and gear knob,rear parking sensors, custom interior trim and rear tinted windows.

As an added incentive to buyers all 207 Sportium models also come with a free Nokia 5230 smart phone and an in-car mounting kit.

It's available with the 1.4-litre VTi petrol engine with 95bhp or a 1.6-litre HDi diesel with 92bhp. The diesel emits 113g/km of CO2, meaning road tax of £30 a year, while the petrol version churns out 137g/km, resulting in yearly tax of £110. The diesel will average 65.7mpg while the petrol will return 47.9mpg

The 1.4-litre petrol starts at £12,595 while the 1.6-litre diesel costs £13,195. Five door versions cost an additional £600.
