New cars always come with some kit fitted as standard, but often getting the specification you want can prove very expensive if you have to tick the optional extras list. So here's the top new cars that come fully loaded as standard and at a bargain price.

THE LOWDOWN:
The Americans build cars for comfort not for speed and this is a classic example where £20k for a motor with a cracking stereo and all the gizmos should not be sniffed at. The BLS's equipment rosta obliterates even a top-spec Ford Mondeo's kit list.

THE LOWDOWN:
This is a best-kept secret - small hatchback that'll deliver a decent sat-nav, some nice wheels, MP3 and Bluetooth connectivity, all for a very competitive £13k. The Jazz isn't sexy but it does make a lot of sense if you want some luxuries in your city runabout.

THE LOWDOWN:
The clue's in the title: if you want luxury as well as value for money, ditch the 5-Series or E-Class. Jaguar doesn't do things by halves and this mid-spec motor should be a no-brainer for anyone with a £30k budget. If you must, shell out £1,500 extra for 19-inch alloys - it'll bust the budget by £500 but you'll get a much better-looking car.
