Vauxhall is introducing a new warranty scheme that will give comprehensive cover throughout the life of all its cars until they reach 100,000 miles.

The new scheme applies to all Vauxhalls registered from August 1, 2010 and includes the powertrain, steering, brakes and electrical equipment. To protect the warranty owners must visit a Vauxhall dealership annually for a free vehicle inspection.

Vauxhall is also set to announce details of a further programme enabling second owners to purchase the Lifetime Warranty.

Duncan Aldred, Managing Director of Vauxhall Motors, said: 'With the Vauxhall Lifetime Warranty, we are making a strong statement of confidence in the quality of our products and a clear intent to provide the very best customer service in the UK.'
