On show: Quattroporte Ermenegildo Zegna concept

Quattroporte Ermenegildo Zegna concept car

Maserati’s latest large Quattroporte saloon isn’t even a year old but already it’s been presented in this thinly-veiled concept.

Previewing an exclusive limited edition created together with Italian mens’ outfitter Ermenegildo Zegna, the firm hints that a production version of the car is likely to appear in 2014.

Outside, the Maserati is coated in a specially-created paint that’s designed to give the impression of depth to the bodywork by painting the flecks of fine aluminium black. The result is especially eye-catching and highlights the Quattroporte’s body sculpting.

Slip inside the luxurious cabin and additional expanses of leather shroud the interior mouldings while the seats are also upholstered in a soft, velvet-like material. Wood trim has a sheened finish which allows the grain of the timber to be felt.
