The DS 3 hatchback is a stylish alternative to the MINI Hatch and Audi A1, and comes packed with lots of standard equipment and a range of frugal yet punchy engines. It won’t break the bank to run a DS 3 day-to-day and buyers will love the range of personalisation options across the line-up, but a fidgety ride and compromised cabin highlight its advancing age next to its rivals.
