Fuel economy

A more stringent standard for fuel economy (WLTP) was introduced from September 2017, and this model was not required to undergo that test. Its fuel economy measured under the previous test system was 38 mpg. However these figures are less likely to be achievable in real world driving and so should never be compared to another car's mpg which was measured under the newer, more realistic WLTP system.

Don’t expect much for Kia Ceed GT running costs because you will end up quite disappointed.

During its official round of fuel economy tests, the Kia Ceed GT achieved 38.2mpg combined. However, real world driving left us believing you will be lucky if you achieve over 30mpg.

Kia Ceed GT emissions are very disappointing. Like the Proceed GT they are fixed at 171g/km regardless of the trim you choose. Tax bands are only going to get tighter over the next couple of years and the Ceed GT could end up costing you dear in tax.

Kia Ceed GT reliability should be excellent with the Ceed hatchback having a pretty clean history when it comes to recalls.

Kia has come a long way over the past few years, and nothing illustrates this more than the seven-year transferable warranty on offer with all its cars which will also offer you plenty of peace of mind and confidence that your car’s reliability should be sound.
