MINI Clubman: First 500 miles

MINI first impressions

The first thing that strikes you about this Clubman is how different it looks to any other MINI. Most people opt for bright blues and reds or silvers and blacks. Ours is a very retro brown – the official name is Hot Chocolate. It’s highly unusual and very distinctive.

The conker-coloured theme continues inside with brown leather and a brown lounge pack (£895.00 option), which means matching door and fascia plastics. The other options we’ve got on this car are: Chili Pack (£2015.00), 17-inch Crown Spoke alloy wheels (£390.00), metallic paint (£280.00), white indicator lenses (£50.00), bi-xenon headlights (£465.00), panoramic glass roof (£680.00), smoker pack (£10.00), parking sensors (£215.00) and climate control (£230.00) - all designed to make life on board more comfortable.

MINI's in at the deep-end for its first weekend: a 350-mile round trip to Kent.  Initial impressions are good. It’s comfortable on the motorway with multi-adjustable seats, good ride and decent visibility. It’s proving to be a pain-free - and stylish - way of soaking up the miles.
