Rolls-Royce Ghost interior, tech and comfort

2020 onwards (change model)

As you’d expect, the new Ghost’s interior is luxurious and comfortable; both for the passengers and the driver. However, unlike the previous car, this Ghost puts a focus on high quality materials, not the design around them. That translates to fewer chrome details, and more areas of open wood, veneer and leather. A large touchscreen sits in the middle of th dashboard, but switchgear is more organised and less busy-looking than before. This thinking extends to the cockpit dials, which, like the Cullinan are fully digital with physical chrome surrounds.

At the back of the car, each rear passenger has access to a digital screen, and the ability to move the seats in front of them. Getting in and out of the Ghost is also an event: Suicide doors at the rear open a few centimetres with one pull of the handle, and then electronically edge out further on a second pull. Closing them is as simple as using a pressing and holding a button inside the car.

Comfort

The Rolls-Royce Ghost is the definition of luxury. Inside premium leather and woods combined with newer technology to create a comfortable, isolated cabin. 100kg of sound proofing materials make road noise and the outside world a distant memory, while Planar technology and a GPS-aided auto box ensure the ride is as smooth as possible, and the gear shifts are similarly seamless.
