The Suzuki Ignis was sold in the UK between 2000 and 2008 as a three and five door SUV with hatchback practicality. There was also a Suzuki Ignis estate and the Ignis pre-dated the company’s newer city cars such as the Splash and Alto.
Engines available were both petrol and included a 1.3-litre and 1.5-litre units. Both were sold with variable valve timing and could offer 94bhp and 99bhp respectively.
The larger engine was used in the automatic and Sport models. The Sport Ignis had plenty of kit, including Recaro seats and fake carbon fibre trim, while the standard car was a bit basic. You could also choose either two or four-wheel drive.
