The Musso’s load area is the deepest of any pickup on sale, takes a Euro pallet easily and features a 12-volt/120W power outlet including water-resistant cover.
However, in terms of load space length and width there are bigger pickups on the market; at just under 5.1m long, the Musso is one of the shorter choices of truck overall, and has a large passenger area, leaving less space for load compared with most rivals.
A longer 5.4m version called the Musso Grand was unveiled at the 2019 Geneva motor show, but it remains unclear at this stage whether this will be sold in the UK.

Exact figures depend on whether you’ve gone for a manual or an automatic Musso, but both versions fare very well here.
Payload is 1,095kg for the manual and 1,085kg for the automatic, while towing capacity is 3.2 tonnes (3,200kg) or 3.5 tonnes (3,500kg), respectively.
The Musso’s gross train weight - GTW, the total allowed weight of vehicle and trailer - is an immense 6,450kg or 6,750kg.
This means total load capacity is 4,295kg or 4,585kg, so you’re able to carry over a tonne of load while also towing to the SsangYong's maximum capacity.
No other pickup sold in the UK can boast this capability.
