Parkers overall rating: 4.5 out of 5 4.5

Recent Audis have had a more driver-focused feel than in the past, with the central console now angled towards the driver. Fit and finish is still impeccable - probably the best anywhere - and the longer cabin with relatively narrow rear window pillars offers good visibility. The driver's seat adjusts for height and the steering adjusts for height and reach so it's easy to get a perfect driving position.

Overall the A4 interior feels more special than other premium saloons.

Interior space is improved vastly over the previous A4, so the saloon can now accommodate five adults with plenty of knee room and shoulder room in the back - a result of the long wheelbase. Audi A4 comfort levels are enhanced by the seats that are incredibly comfortable and supportive, especially the leather versions on top models. Electronic climate control is fitted as standard, with a three-zone system (this has individual front temperature adjustment plus separate adjustment for the rear compartment) available on SE models and above.
