- Taycan sits inbetween Porsche models
- Interior space is good on the whole
- Two boots, neither is huge
The Porsche Taycan is somewhere between the 911 and Panamera in terms of size, but punches above its weight in terms of interior space thanks to its electric drivetrain.
Space up front is obviously plentiful and there’s a surprising amount of room in the rear too – headroom is a bit tight for taller passengers, although this improves if you spec the optional panoramic roof.

Legroom is very reasonable thanks to what Porsche calls a set of ‘foot garages’, or recesses in the battery pack in the rear passenger footwell. This improves the amount of space on offer while retaining the typically low and sporty seating position.
As it’s not a particularly large car the Taycan is easy to move around and park, and comes with a full complement of parking sensors and cameras to help you position it exactly where you want.
Bootspace can often be compromised in electric cars but this model offers a good-enough 366 litres in the rear boot (helped by something called a ‘balcony solution’ for the rear drivetrain gubbins) and a further 81 litres in a secondary front boot.

Safety
- No Euro NCAP rating yet
- Lots of optional driver assistance tech
- Extremely good roadholding
The Porsche Taycan hasn’t been rated by Euro NCAP so we can’t really say how safe it is in comparison with its rivals. We can however state that this model comes with a lot of driver assistance tech (below) and the added confidence of seriously strong mechanical grip, meaning it should be a faithful and trustworthy companion.
