SEAT Leon: 100 miles in...what do I like?

The good...

The FR is the best-selling version of the Leon – and it’s easy to see why. With subtle ‘FR’ styling details, the car feels special without being in-yer-face. The FR (that stands for Formula Racing, if you’re wondering) badges are sprinkled around the cabin.

Here’s what’s really impressed me in the first 100 miles:

  • The 2.0-litre diesel engine: It’s quick and has plenty of mid-range power for easy overtaking.

  • Sat-nav system: Touch screen system is sat-nav, music storage and hands-free phone kit all-in one. I’ve already connected my phone to it and it works well, with clear sound through the speakers.
  • Big boot: Plenty of space for weekend bags; already tackled the weekly shop with ease.

  • Great seats: The sports-style seats hold you in place around corners and seem supportive enough for longer motorway trips.

  • Leon’s styling: It’s subtly sporty and looks great in red.
