Citroen has extended its Trafficmaster Smartnav offer to all of its van models, and has knocked around £800 off the price of the unit.

The reduced rate of £399 (plus VAT) gives drivers of the Nemo, Berlingo First and all Combi versions a combined satellite navigation and Trackstar stolen vehicle unit as well as a three-year subscription. The unit normally costs £1,200 (plus VAT).

Citroen is also offering fleets the chance to add the Fleet Director package for £19.99 a month.

This package allows data from the van such as speed, throttle use and location to be relayed back to the office, helping make delivery routes more efficient and also highlighting drivers who have a heavy right foot and use more fuel than others.

The device can also be used to detect if a vehicle is being used during evenings or weekends when it shouldn't be.
