Renault's new small roadster, the Wind, will cost from £15,500 when deliveries begin in July.

The new model, which features an electrically-operated retractable metal roof that turns it from a coupe into a roadster, will be offered in two trim levels and with the choice of two petrol engines. There'll be a 100bhp 1.2-litre turbo or a 133bhp 1.6-litre borrowed from the Twingo Renaultsport.

Renault claims fuel economy of almost 45mpg and CO2 emissions of 145g/km for the 1.2 and 40mpg and 165g/km for the 1.6.

Standard equipment on the two-seater includes 16-inch alloy wheels, air conditioning, cruise control, stability control and sports seats.

On sale now, the Wind pricing ranges from £15,500 to £17,300.
