Honda Civic gets updates for 2011

  • Aesthetic changes to Honda's hatch
  • New grille, interior, paint and wheels
  • Prices start at £13,995 for Type S

Honda has updated its Civic for 2011 as the Japanese company bids to steal sales from Ford's Focus and the Vauxhall Astra through a wave of styling tweaks.

Honda will attempt to do this by borrowing the front grille from the recently-deceased Type R, and introducing a new bronze hue to the paint line-up.

There are also new alloys - 16-inchers for 1.4-litre SE and Si while 1.8-litre Si gets 17-inch rims.

The entry-level Type S gets 16" wheels and colour-coded sideskirts.

Inside, SE and ES trim get half fabric and half alcantara while the Si gets leather and alcantara trim and heated front seats.

Prices starts at 13,995 for 1.4 type S.
