Clarion has launched an upgraded portable satellite navigation unit aimed at commercial vehicle drivers.
The Navteq map upgrade, via an SD card, for the Clarion MAP690 device gives van and truck drivers more relevant information such as the location of roadside restaurants, dedicated parking areas for larger vehicles and expanded information on petrol stations such as those which have 24-hour opening, offer truck diesel or biodiesel, and have rest areas for drivers where they can take a shower.
The device costs £399, while the data upgrade is available for £200.
