We have owned two series 1 bmw and loved them. We wanted to keep the practicality of the hatchback but the low seats were becoming an issue for our future. Affordability was another tick box so the Active Tourer looked a good fit. We had a test drive in a diesel, automatic, and finally settled on the 118i petrol manual. This engine is amazing and the front wheel drive a bonus. The space inside is plentiful and flexible. I think this model bridges the gap up to the X1 etc. Some think it does not fit the BMW mould in shape and drive train but you just need to drive one to feel the quality and comfort. This is why I stay with BMW.
How reliable do you find the car?
We only use the car on short journeys as we are retired. So mainly Town mileage.Does the car do everything you expected it to do?
I wanted to stay with BMW but with a more practical hatchback and higher drive position than my series 1.About their car
