  • Summary

    4 out of 5 4.0

What does this car say about you?

    Not sure really, probably executive?

What do your friends / family / neighbours think of the car?

It gets alot of envious looks from other people, alot of positive comments and interest from everyone.

Would you buy this car again and why?

Yes I would. You really can't beat BMW build quality, reliability and styling.

What are you likely to buy next?

    An E46 Coupe.

  • Buying experience

    4 out of 5 4.0

Type of dealer you bought from?

    Didn't buy from a dealer

Did you buy this car new?

    No

    What price did you pay?

    £4,500

When did you buy the car?

    May 2007

Did you get a good deal and why?

I purchased it privately with only 58k on the clock, with full BMW stamped history, so I feel I did. It took me 8 months to find this one, definatley worth the wait considering the mileage, condition and history.

Is there any special reason why you bought this car?

I've always wanted one! Also, cheaper and easier to live with than the E36 M3.

    What was the dealer like?

    N/A

  • Driving it

    5 out of 5 5.0

    What's it like to drive?

Feels wide and heavy at low speeds, but very planted on the motorway and fast twisty bends. You definatley feel safe in the car. The silky smooth straight six is effortless and very quiet on motorways, very responsive too, I love it!

    What's it like to park?

Fairly difficult, steering is quite heavy and the rear spoiler blocks a little bit of the rear view, so reversing sensors would be a worth while extra.

  • Living with it

    5 out of 5 5.0

Have you had any problems with the car?

    Nothing.

What's most practical about your car?

Boot space is very good, but to be honest, it is a coupe, so not entirely practical! If I had a family, then it would prove difficult.

    Favourite gadget, option or accessory?

The car is full of gadgets and extras - speed sensitive wipers and audio control etc - and they're all superb, but if it was one, it would have to be the ACC, set it to the desired temp, and it will stay there all day - very comfortable on long journeys.
