    January 2014

Did you get a good deal and why?

Is there any special reason why you bought this car?

I previously had an E36 328i saloon, but needed a new car and a touring was more practical.

    What was the dealer like?

  • Driving it

    5 out of 5 5.0

    What's it like to drive?

Pretty good. It isn't as involving as the earlier 3 series (E30 or E36, both of which I've owned), but it is a lot more modern feeling. The handling is good and it has enough power, despite the weight. The cabin is a very nice, relaxing place fro any length of trip, the seats are comfy and supportive and the visibility is excellent. It has enough comforts to make it pleasant to be in (heated seats, auto wipers, heated door mirrors, cruise control, etc) but not too many to get in the way of the enjoyment of driving.

    What's it like to park?

    Easy

  • Living with it

Have you had any problems with the car?

It was purchased with a noisy rear wheel bearing that was fixed fairly easily and cheaply. It also had an airbag warning light on due to a faulty passenger seat occupancy sensor that was bypassed with a £5 part purchased on-line.

What's most practical about your car?

    The space in the back.

    Favourite gadget, option or accessory?

    The sport seats, the sunroof.
