What does this car say about you?

Its a hard one to say. Its one of the few 2 seater convertibles in the market that looks masculine, especially the beefed up M version. Its definatley a car to drive rather than to be seen in.

What do your friends / family / neighbours think of the car?

They all like it, though a 911 got more attention and positive comments, the Z4 is definatley a more incognito performance car.

Would you buy this car again and why?

I would definatley consider it, its an amazing all-rounder.

What are you likely to buy next?

Its a tough one, the Z4M is such a good comprimise between a GT and outright sports car I dont think there is much in the same price bracket that is as much of a complete package.

The BMW Z4M is at home being a long distance GT as it is tearing up a twisting A road or racing circuit...

What was the dealer like?

What's it like to drive?

Around town it can be hard work, the clutch is sensitive, and the controls are heavy, however when you get out onto the open road, it really comes alive. You can cruise perfectly comfortably on the motorway, but the real experience comes when you push it hard - at first you feel you have to manhandle the Z into a corner, but once you get the feel for the car, you are amazed at just how much grip and composure it has.

What's it like to park?

The rear parking sensors are useful, but not really where you need them, as I would prefer them at the front of that long bonnet. The extra depth of the bumper you have to be careful when pulling up to kerbs. With the soft top up, the rear 3/4 view is limited.

What's most practical about your car?

The boot is quite limited, and having the battery there on the M version doesn't help, though it can still fit large boxes and several bags without too many problems, though space is at a premium. The roof is very good at insulating from noise and rain. Quite impressively, it averages 34MPG on a long run, and even driving around cities and fast country runs I am still averaging 27MPG

Favourite gadget, option or accessory?

The experience is dominated by the engine, however the bluetooth phone is very good, and clear even with the roof down up to motorway speeds.
