Other Chrysler PT Cruiser (2000 - 2008) models:

  • Summary

    4 out of 5 4.0

What does this car say about you?

Probably that I want something different to the norm, and also don't mind daring looks.

What do your friends / family / neighbours think of the car?

My parents are biased as they also have one (so love it), friends however aren't raving about it, though then again a Vauxhall Astra isn't anything to write home about.

Would you buy this car again and why?

Probably, yes. It's a good all-rounder with lots of space, decent speed and acceleration, and average MPG of 42, which isn't bad going.

What are you likely to buy next?

I'd like another Chrysler Delta one day, but otherwise the 2012 onwards 300C is my goal.

  • Driving it

    4 out of 5 4.0

    What's it like to drive?

It's alright to drive, nothing spectacularly brilliant, but for quite a large car for it's segment it's not bad. The acceleration, and more importantly it's mid-range acceleration, are both great. Overtaking is easy-as. 0-60 off the line also isn't bad.

    What's it like to park?

The turning circle is rather wide, but otherwise it's rather easy - the rear window is quite open, and there aren't any big window pillars or anything to contend with.

  • Living with it

Have you had any problems with the car?

    No problems yet.

What's most practical about your car?

The boot is pretty large and there's lots of interior space (good leg room in the rear).

    Favourite gadget, option or accessory?

Heated seats are nice, especially in our weather. Cruise control also makes life easier.
