A good small cheap car but many people dident know what a diahatsu cuore was.

Yes if i saw one at the right price again.

Did you get a good deal and why?
yes because it was a clearance deal in very condition with 55k on the clock.
Is there any special reason why you bought this car?
Because they are so small, wanted one for rallying.
What was the dealer like?
rubbish really because it was a backstreet garage.

Driving it
What's it like to drive?
I was very impressed with the 3 cylinder 850cc engine which loved to be trashed producing 41bhp and a 0-62 in around 9 seconds and the top speed was 99mph.It was so sharp and very good to handle because it was so small,at high speeds it was a bit choppy because of it small tyres but was very good on single track lanes,only bad thing was the steering wheel was a bit on the large side and the steering was very light not much feedback through it.The gear box was a 5 speed short ratio box which had a lovley slick clunk noise change.The driving controls were all good apart from the brake pedel went to low under hard breaking so it was tricky to heel and toe with it.but all in all a great little pocket rally car.
What's it like to park?
Was brillant to park was so small you could fit it anywhere and steering was so light even at a stand still because had a light engine.

Living with it
Have you had any problems with the car?
Piston rings went on cylinder 3.but i bought it like it because it a had a granny owner before and only used it round town so it did lots of short runs,when i did the work on the engine to repair it there was so much carbon deposits in the engine it took 2 days of engine cleaning and 3 oil changes to flush it all out.
What's most practical about your car?
Small size and very nippy.
Favourite gadget, option or accessory?
A clock because it was a base model.
