Good value - cheap to buy.

1.4 is not economical! The 1.6 is a better buy, except for higher tax level.

Not bad for 1.4 - cruise on motorway no problem at 70 plus - all day long.

They are supposed to have carb problems - but mine was good - very reliable.

Hatchback is roomy, but you don't buy an Escort for image unless it's a sports model.

I would like to try the 1.6 model because the only problem with the 1.4 is it drinks petrol and no matter how carefull you are it does not make a lot of difference.
