Economy
Value
Bought the car for £3,500 3 months ago, now I'm told it's only worth £1,500 for trade-in value! Ouch! Otherwise, well-equipped with lots of features on cars nowadays, such as central deadlocking, alarm, immobiliser, front electric windows and air con.
Costs
Surprisingly high MPG. I manage to get nearly 45mpg on average for local runs!

Driving
1.8 Si 16v Zetec power plant only 113bhp, but still accelerates exceptionally well.
Performance
Performs consistently well, when actually available to drive!

Living with it
Reliability
All was fine until ECU failure, meaning I haven't driven the car for the last month!
Image
Car still looks good from the front and rear, but really shows its age side-on.
Comfort
Sports seats give a good grip. Air conditioning makes a big difference in summer and sunroof provides a good alternative, however it would be nice to have an electric sunroof.

Security and Service
Security
Alarm, immobiliser, central deadlocking - all good and functional. Remote central deadlocking would be nice.
Service
Good so far, although incredibly slow. I have now owned the car for 3 months and it has been in the garage for the last month with a faulty ECU.

Problems and Ownership
Problems
Engine
ECU went wrong after 67,000 miles, causing engine to rev far too high at start-up. Car been back to garage for a month now and they still haven't identified fault.
Other
Rear near-side passenger door kept self-locking. Time clock needed to be replaced. Front windscreen wiper switch slightly faulty. Otherwise, all ok.
