  • Summary

    5 out of 5 5.0

What does this car say about you?

    You're sensible but not boring.

What do your friends / family / neighbours think of the car?

She's not standard and has had alot spent on her so attracts quite a bit of attention. Everyone loves her. Not as much as i do though. It will be a sad day when she's is replaced by my RS.

Would you buy this car again and why?

The drive quality is amazing. The handling, performance and practicality is far better than the others in its class. Cheap to insure and maintain. It's never let me down after 60k and loads and loads of motorway miles. Still pulls like a train, not a spot of rust, decent fuel economy and looks stunning with some 18's.

What are you likely to buy next?

MK1 Focus RS would be the only thing better that i could afford.

    £4,000

When did you buy the car?

    October 2005

Did you get a good deal and why?

Yeah, i got a good price on the car. HPI check said a dealer would have priced it at over 5k and i paid 4k.

Is there any special reason why you bought this car?

A friend had one and recommended it.

    What was the dealer like?

  • Driving it

    5 out of 5 5.0

    What's it like to drive?

The handling capablities are unreal for front wheel drive. Corners like its on rails. It's quick if you push it hard enough in the first and second gears. Between 3k and 6k rpm it really moves. When you consider it's size and weight compared to other cars in its class its really quick.

    What's it like to park?

Forward no issues. Reversing isn't so good as the rear window is very high so those 2ft walls can be a worry!

  • Living with it

Have you had any problems with the car?

Alternator went after about 35k. The boot release boot is intermittent at best. Nothing major.

What's most practical about your car?

It's size inside. The boot is huge and it's great for tall people like myself with loads of head room.

    Favourite gadget, option or accessory?

It was the boot popper until it broke. The fact you require the key to enter the engine bay is great.
