  • Driving it

    5 out of 5 5.0

    What's it like to drive?

Excellent considering it's age, puts newer cars to shame. Slower than you'd expect off the line but above 3000rpm power is immense. Low down torque is impressive even for the engine size. Handling is good at speed but a little vague around town, body roll is almost non-existent and massive amounts of grip even from 15" tyres. Gearchange is absolutely superb, slick with a short throw and minimal fuss even in first and reverse.

    What's it like to park?

Not the easiest, sloping bonnet and high bootline means visibility isn't great and the extremities are vulnerable.

  • Living with it

Have you had any problems with the car?

Minor bits; Suspensions bushes worn, pads worn, accessory drive belt noisy, front passenger speaker faulty, car dies on startup and at slow speeds occasionally, noisy suspension/shock absorbers.

What's most practical about your car?

    The sheer size and value.

    Favourite gadget, option or accessory?

Electrically operated driver seat adjustment, even without the ignition on.
