  • Economy

    Value

    5 out of 5 5.0

Fully loaded for less money than others, leather, climate control, SatNav, heated seats, electric everything, cruise etc.

    Costs

    4 out of 5 4.0

Very good so far, but then I've got a deal for free servicing up to 36,000 miles. Eats front tyres quite quickly if you are an enthusiastic driver.

  • On the road

    Driving

    4 out of 5 4.0

Comfortable, great chassis, great roadholding and manners. Easy to cover long distances or wind up the Nova boy racers.

    Performance

    4 out of 5 4.0

Ignore Honda's claims that the VTEC gives torque and power; below 4000rpm power is adequate, 4000+rpm is where is the fun starts. You've got to spin this engine up to make the car shift fast!

  • Living with it

    Reliability

    5 out of 5 5.0

Few minor niggles (blown dash lights, door rattle, handbrake light) quickly sorted out by dealer.

    Image

    4 out of 5 4.0

Not many people know what these cars are, how fast they go, or what they're loaded with. I prefer the Honda's smart anonymous image rather than a snobby BMW.

    Comfort

    4 out of 5 4.0

Very comfy - loses a point for the driver's seat, lumbar support can't be adjusted out if you don"t want it, takes some getting used to. Seat length is a bit short, needs to be longer for my thighs.

  • Security and Service

    Security

    4 out of 5 4.0

No theft attempts yet, so I guess it's working.

    Service

    5 out of 5 5.0

    Dealers have been brilliant.

  • Problems and Ownership

    Problems

Fuel gauge is wacko - warning light comes on when there is still 60 miles worth left in the tank!

    New

Would you buy the same model again?

    No

Did you buy from the same manufacturer again?
