  • Summary

    5 out of 5 5.0

What does this car say about you?

I would't know. Fellow petrol heads will see the badge and know I like my cars, others see the car as a bog standard 'company car'.

What do your friends / family / neighbours think of the car?

My girlfriend loves it because it's so comfortable and can't help but smile when I push it hard. Friends also enjoy a lift. The mother still asks me when i'll get something with a good fuel economy like her Astra.

Would you buy this car again and why?

I would if there was no better alternative.

What are you likely to buy next?

I plan on keeping this for a few more years so i'll see what's about at the time. But hopefully something similar, 6 month to a year old V8 saloon.

Type of dealer you bought from?

    Franchised

Did you buy this car new?

    No

    What price did you pay?

    £46,850

When did you buy the car?

    September 2014

Did you get a good deal and why?

I paid an average price for a 6 month old model looking elsewhere. The car had plenty of options. I had a decent offer on my part-ex.

Is there any special reason why you bought this car?

I wanted something that was practical and subtle for every day use, but also quick and fun to drive.

    What was the dealer like?

As i'm sure many young potential buyers are, the dealer did not treat me like a genuine valued customer at first, but after a quick chat the whole team were very helpful, friendly and willing. Amazing what the prospect of a commission can do.

  • Driving it

    5 out of 5 5.0

    What's it like to drive?

The jag is a pleasure to drive in all situations. It's comfortable on my regular motorway journeys, sit back with the adaptive cruise control and enjoy the ride. Flick it into a more sporty feel and it can really go, it handles great and the engine roar at higher revs is addictive.

    What's it like to park?

No harder than any other saloon car. Parking aids make life even simpler. Rear visibility isn't the best out there, but adequate.

  • Living with it

    4 out of 5 4.0

Have you had any problems with the car?

Nothing major yet. I had to stop for a flat tire as I was driving home from collection! This isn't a reflection on the car though.

What's most practical about your car?

It's a 4 door saloon with a decent boot. It's not especially flash so I feel confident leaving it places.

    Favourite gadget, option or accessory?

The multimedia interface and speaker system is a great addition for the long motorway stretches.
