Lexus RX (2009 - 2015) 450h 3.5 SE-L 5d CVT Auto Owner Review

In their own words
Considering the price I paid, £9000 I think this car is only second to my other favourite car I owned, a 2001 lexus ls430. The rx for the age, has enough technology to satisfy my needs, rev camera, kerb camera, rear pedestrian alert and Bluetooth. 35mpg is the norm no matter where you drive in urban or motorway. The whining CVT transmission does grate but only annoys when slamming the accelerator pedal/kickdown, which I rarely do. Along with the ls430, sitting in the car lowers your heart rate, promotes a serene, calming, special driving experience. The ride is superb , armchairs for seats, more than enough poke in any condition, a gem of a car. It really is that good. A change in circumstances took me into a new Hyundai Tucson ultimate hybrid. An excellent vehicle all round but the jump in price, hmmmm, actually does not reflect an £35000 increase. The lexus is such a gem, my partner bought it so I still get to sit in it or drive it. Apart from my platitudes above, the reliability, the feeling of smugness when in it , knowing that pound for pound I wouldn't have any other SUV, period!
