Mercedes-Benz GLA-Class (2014 - 2020) GLA 45 4Matic Premium AMG Speedshift DCT auto (01/17 on) 5d Owner Review

Having owned the lesser powered but equally nice GLA220d 4Matic, I wanted something more powerful and found the person offering in the GLA 45 AMG. The engine note in comfort mode reveals that the normal unsuspecting looking appearance isn’t the full story, with a rumble not like any other GLA in the range, even the 35 AMG. Performance is keen and swift, exhaust note similar to faster premium cars like Aston Martin and in Race mode, hold on tight, as the M133 engine mated to the 4Matic attached 7 Speed gearbox ensures the perfect getaway in normal guide and also using race start. Acceleration is mindblowing from the 375bhp 2l hand built engine, and with the added front LSD and uncapped top speed, the car races to its promised maximum of 168mph with relative ease.

Miles per gallon aren’t for the faint hearted but this car gives endless smiles per gallon and keeps up with Porsches, high end Audi’s and much more powerful tuned variants.

Highly recommend this vehicle, pre 2019 face lift, as well he car feels refined but raw, and will compete with the newer 45S model to 60, with an identical time.
