  • Summary

    4 out of 5 4.0

What does this car say about you?

I can make a good choice on a budget :).

What do your friends / family / neighbours think of the car?

They like the comfort and practicality. Some say the interior is a bit 'grandad', and my girlfriend thinks the 2ltr engine is a bit much ;).

Would you buy this car again and why?

If they still made them and I could afford a new one then yes.

What are you likely to buy next?

Have ordered a new Toyota Yaris to try and save money on petrol, 2ltr engine may be fun, but it is thirsty, and 400 miles a week isn't cheap!

    Didn't buy from a dealer

Did you buy this car new?

    No

    £1,000

When did you buy the car?

    July 2010

Did you get a good deal and why?

Is there any special reason why you bought this car?

Wanted something larger and faster than my old Fiat Punto, but on a budget.

    What was the dealer like?

  • Driving it

    4 out of 5 4.0

    What's it like to drive?

Really fun to drive for a large car. There is a bit of body roll if pushed hard into corners, and it will understeer quite easily, but the steering gives great feedback, and the engine is brilliant from about 3500RPM onwards.

    What's it like to park?

Surprisingly easy for a large car, good all round visibilty and positive steering made it easier than I expected...

  • Living with it

    3 out of 5 3.0

Have you had any problems with the car?

Both rear brake calipers, clutch and exhaust have all had to be replaced, though all were the original parts so they had done well after 13/14 years! Everything else has just been standard wear and tear.

What's most practical about your car?

The absolutely huge boot, and the sheer amount of interior space.

    Favourite gadget, option or accessory?

Heated leather seats and the CD autochanger are pretty nice things to have. I would say the electric sunroof, but how many opportunities do we get in the UK to use them!
