What does this car say about you?

Well what's it supposed to say, i mean c'mon it's a people carrier. i have kids. but renault is renoun for it's safety rating and it's 5 star. it has the front LED running lights too so it says we are modern??? haha.

What do your friends / family / neighbours think of the car?

They all think it's great, roomy, quiet, comfy and economical.

Would you buy this car again and why?

Yes i would buy this car again, however, by the time we sell and upgrade we may not need 7 seats, so may go for the Laguna Estate, looks good and has the same gadgets and engine 1.6 DCi 130. WARNING, it doesn't quite do the claimed 64 MPG, as an average each journey we are getting 45-50MPG which is still pretty impressive for a big car.

What are you likely to buy next?

    Renault Grand Scenic or Laguna.

Type of dealer you bought from?

    Franchised

Did you buy this car new?

    No

    What price did you pay?

    £17,500

When did you buy the car?

    December 2012

Did you get a good deal and why?

Yes we did get a good deal, as it was an ex demo car and was less than 3 months old when we collected it and had less than 2500 miles on the clock too. It came with the Luxe pack already on which is what we wanted and the Bose sound system is standard. they offered the car to us at a price of £2000 above what we actually paid, until i started to walk away, and told the salesman i wasn't going to pay that price.

Is there any special reason why you bought this car?

We needed a 7 seater and one with lots of space left after all 7 seats were up and being used, this and the Ford S Max were the only ones left in the running after viewing everything else. For the money the Renault was far better value than the Ford taking into consideration the trim levels.

    What was the dealer like?

The dealer was fantastic, the salesman answered all our burning questions, showed us how everything worked in the car, as there are a lot of gadgets in it. explained all about the 4 years free servicing and the warranty.

  • Driving it

    5 out of 5 5.0

    What's it like to drive?

Fantastic little car, very good away from the traffic lights if needed, i find the trubo takes a while to kick in if you're in too high a gear for the speed. but it is 130BHP and goes like a rocket if you get it all right. seats are comfy if a little hard and the road noise is pretty quiet too.

    What's it like to park?

Very easy especially with all the parking sensors fitted. i do however find the turning circle very large when turning into a tight parking space.

Have you had any problems with the car?

Nothing gone wrong with the car apart from the radio reset itself one day so i had to input all the desired stations again, but its automatic so was very easy to do, and the passenger door dropped very slightly, that was corrected under warranty.

What's most practical about your car?

The masses of space and storage, the parking sensors are pretty useful too, especially for the lovely wife hehe.

    Favourite gadget, option or accessory?

TOMTOM SATNAV and the Bose bluetooth stereo system.
