Renault Megane E-Tech Hatchback EV60 160kW Techno+ Comfort Range 60kWh 5dr Auto Owner Review

My first EV and first Renault. Bought the car after reading positive long term test reviews and I’m absolutely blown away by how good it is. Had read that rear foot and head room was cramped but foot room is fine unless you put the front seats down to the floor (they both adjust for height and go further down than most cars). Rear head room is also fine unless very tall. But what a drive…fast, agile and feels more like a silent GTi than a car with a heavy battery. Unless you are very heavy on the pedals I’ve found no trouble in getting very close to the claimed range too, especially as, with regen braking right up, you rarely need to touch the brakes. Love the look of the car too and lots of folk stop to see what it is in car parks. Very fast to charge too, when you need it. A brilliant design inside too and the cabin feels very sporty and comfortable. Love having the large touchscreen as well as physical switches for most common functions. I think it’s a brilliant design, inside and out.
