Summary
What does this car say about you?
Maybe it says "I might look old but I've still got good taste in cars".
What do your friends / family / neighbours think of the car?
Think it looks great and has a lot of 'toys'.
Would you buy this car again and why?
Yes. It's a good looking and accomplished car. UPDATE 06/13: I've owned and driven this car for nearly nine months now and after reading through this review of mine, written in the honeymoon period of ownership, I can't really say that my opinion has changed. It is a good car, drives sporty enough, looks brilliant and most important of all: it is a pleasure to drive. Up to now no electrical faults (all the knobs and switches work) and the trim and upholstery still look new. The only thing which irritates me is the bad three-quarter rear vision. Parking sensors should not be an optional extra but part of the standard fit. All in all though I am still very much a fan.
What are you likely to buy next?
No idea. Maybe Renault again, depends on new models.

For the first time could buy a car of my choice and in my opinion, the Megane Coupe is an accomplished and good looking small coupe.

Extremely helpful, not pushy. Everything went to plan.

Driving it
What's it like to drive?
This is my first 6-speed car and I've had to adapt my driving accordingly (not easy after about 45 years). I change gears more often but the car seems to love it and rewards with smooth acceleration. I've read reports where the steering has been criticized for being 'vague'. I find it excellent. It may be bait early to say. But I am extremely happy with the car.
What's it like to park?
Mine doesn't have parking sensors so it can be a chore due to restricted rear view vision. My answer is to be a bit more selective when choosing parking spaces. When in doubt, drive on.
