Summary
What does this car say about you?
Who knows! That I value a bit of individuality and value for money rather than the thousands of 1 series or A3's on the road - it's still unusual to see another Megane on the road where I live.
What do your friends / family / neighbours think of the car?
Generally like the look of the vehicle, although I must say the Megane, Mazda 3 and Vauxhall Astra all look practically identical now.
Would you buy this car again and why?
Yes, it's a decent car and good value for money.
What are you likely to buy next?
Something bigger; perhaps a Mondeo or Insignia
-
Buying experience
Type of dealer you bought from?
Franchise

What price did you pay?
£14,000
When did you buy the car?
September 2009
Did you get a good deal and why?
Agreed corporate discounts
Is there any special reason why you bought this car?
Good value
What was the dealer like?
Usual car dealership; overfriendly and pushy when it's not needed
-
Driving it
What's it like to drive?
Pretty good, powerful when needed but really slow from 1st gear - 2nd upwards and there are no problems.
What's it like to park?
Really easy; park assist works well and seems to have a reasonable turning circle.
-
Living with it
Have you had any problems with the car?
Nothing other than tyres so far; although I'm fairly anxious over a few warning signs of electrical issues - reverse parking not working and dashboard lights that disappear after awhile - all intermittant so the dealer can't fix them (naturally)
What's most practical about your car?
low emissions ergo road tax; a lot has been said about fuel economy but I've got to say Renault are lying through their teeth saying this engine will return 60mpg+, mid 50's yes.
Favourite gadget, option or accessory?
Was Bluetooth until I changed my LG phone, I've now got a Blackberry and a Nokia and the Bluetooth system won't find either.
