Rover 75 Saloon (2004 - 2005) 2.5 V6 Connoisseur SE 4d Auto Owner Review

Did all the right research, bought a car with cam-belt history and stamped service book, Previous owner was an elderly gentleman who had had it from a few months old. Overheating issues stared within 2 days , despite a trouble free and careful drive from Birmingham to Liverpool. A couple of days after that, burning smell through the air con, car stopped, all the lights came on.. It had managed to blow the head-gasket and drop all the oil in a few hundred metres from home. Engine destroyed, it went back to the dealer on a flat bed. It was sold for scrap I believe.. 3rd and Last Rover. No wonder this company went bankrupt. Just appalling.
