What do your friends / family / neighbours think of the car?

It's weird and can they have one

Would you buy this car again and why?

Yes I would buy another one because I'm still weird.

What are you likely to buy next?

Something weird. I quite fancy the Renault Avantime. I can't stand "ordinary" cars.

  • Buying experience

Type of dealer you bought from?

    Didn't buy from a dealer

Did you buy this car new?

    No

    What price did you pay?

    £3,000

When did you buy the car?

    January 2005

Did you get a good deal and why?

Certainly did! It's a rare car and no one seemed interested in it. I wanted something different and this fitted the bill perfectly. I got £800 knocked off the asking price.

Is there any special reason why you bought this car?

    It was cheap!

    What was the dealer like?

Very nice but you could tell he wanted rid of the car.

  • Driving it

    4 out of 5 4.0

    What's it like to drive?

It's not a sports car so don't expect blistering performance. There is a little bit of body roll as you would expect but it's predictable so you know when you've reached the limit. I have made a few modifications so it's more powerful. They guy in the Evo I blasted past seemed to think so anyway!!

    What's it like to park?

Easy with practice. The front end takes a bit of getting used to but after a couple of goes, it slides in nicely.

  • Living with it

Have you had any problems with the car?

Sod all! I have only had to replace the brake pads and tyres so far but you'll have to do that with any car.

What's most practical about your car?

It will tow just about anything I put on the tow bar and not grumlbe about it. The fuel consumption stays the same whether I'm towing or not. Because it looks like nothing else on the road, you can always spot it in the supermarket car park

    Favourite gadget, option or accessory?

The electronic transfer switch. You can change from 2WD to 4WD at the flick of a switch even when you're going about 40mph. Nice and simple.
