Would you buy this car again and why?
I own a MK7 golf and this was my hire car while mine was being fixed as i got bumped into on a round about. The car was good but for a 2013 car was very cheap inside, had a lot of tech but didn't have the finish to make it a better car.
What are you likely to buy next?
Just want my golf back!

Driving it
What's it like to drive?
This model has the 1.6 V-matic auto engine and box. The engine is ok, very nippy but sounds so bad. the automatic gear box is nasty compered to my mk7 golfs DSG gear box. Its not smooth when driving it hard and cant decide which gear to be in, the paddle shift is the only thing going for it. The car has a nice chassis, very smooth and firm compered to my MK7 golf. Not a great amount of body roll, but the steering is light and you don't get a great amount of feed back from it.
What's it like to park?
Very good turning circle and you know where the front end is when getting close to walls. this model has a boot cam which is helpful but not needed.

Living with it
Have you had any problems with the car?
It is a hire car with 9000 miles on the clock, but i turned off the traction control and put it in sports mode. The car warning light came on for the abs and the brake peddle became stiff, also started a brake disc grinding noise. The sounds disappeared after turning the car off and resetting to normal function.
What's most practical about your car?
Good MPG and the boot is big.
Favourite gadget, option or accessory?
The car is very well kitted out for a £18,750 car. The touch screen, DAB radio also the paddle shift are smart.
