What does this car say about you?

I guess it says that I made a bad mistake in buying it!

What do your friends / family / neighbours think of the car?

Disappointing and not what they would expect from Toyota - not worth the money

Would you buy this car again and why?

Absolutely not - there are plenty of alternatives that are better quality and in some cases less costly. With the benefit of hindsight I should have bought a VW Passat.

  • Driving it

    1 out of 5 1.0

    What's it like to drive?

The driving experience in car is very poor due entirely to the level of engine noise in the cabin. The peformance is lively enough and it is economical but the lack of sufficient engine noise insulation to the cabin is really unpleasant. Also there is a characteristic in the tourers that the vertical screen in the rear of the vehicle does not seat properly and rattles constantly - Toyota don't seem able to stop this.

    What's it like to park?

  • Living with it

Have you had any problems with the car?

We deeply regret buying this car. The first vehicle had a gearbox failure after just 417 miles. This was replaced with a brand new vehicle but the harsh engine noise that indicated a serious problem in the first car is now considered by Toyota as 'normal' in the second car. Toyota have in writing admitted that the new engines sound "harsh". This is an understatement as the enngine noise invades the cabin in the same way as you would experience a commercial van to sound
