What does this car say about you?

    That we're not car enthusiasts?

What do your friends / family / neighbours think of the car?

Would you buy this car again and why?

Yes. It's not that there's any one thing about it I particularly love -- just that it does nothing wrong, and it's satisfying enough to drive to keep me happy. We've done overseas family holidays for four and all sorts in this car, and in terms of space and basic design it does really well.

What are you likely to buy next?

No plans to replace this one yet.

  • Driving it

    3 out of 5 3.0

    What's it like to drive?

Fun in cities and winding country roads, but not well suited to motorways. The engine is very responsive and revvy: I like it a lot despite its tiny size. Gearbox is heavy and inconsistent -- entering second gear in particular is a bit of a gamble. The steering is good for the type of car (not too light, not too imprecise). I'm almost always happy to get back into this car after driving something else. Fuel consumption (according to the onboard computer) 49.9mpg over the last three years, with a fairly even mixture of inner-city, motorway and country driving.

    What's it like to park?

    Simple enough.

  • Living with it

Have you had any problems with the car?

Nothing at all has gone wrong on this car in the last 7 years. It hasn't been off the road a single day, apart from routine services.

What's most practical about your car?

Reliability, compact size, good design for interior space, fuel economy.

    Favourite gadget, option or accessory?

The "distant" digital speedometer -- I much prefer it to any analogue sort.
