Value
Value for money. No other car can perform like this for so little money. A very underrated car.
Costs
The only thing that can be expensive is a supercharger re-build, but this is taken in mind when you buy one of these cars. The price is higher than stated as value is far higher than Parker's estimate!

On the road
Driving
The fun rate of driving is so high as there is no car like it; the power is instant, proving lots of fun and with bigger tyres and stiffer suspension, handles fine.
Performance
Well off the scale as there is no supermini like it, even to today's standards of performance. Ignore the times stated, 'cos on the track these things beat big executive cars for lunch with no problem.

Living with it
Reliability
Just like any car, things need re-newing. The only thing that needs attention more than should be is the back wheel bearings, plus the supercharger needs serviing at the correct intervals.

There is a great following to this model, even though it's not known. It's the complete wolf in sheep's clothing - to me that's the best image.
Comfort
The seats in the G40 are a lot better than standard and hold you in ok. There are lots of aftermarket bits available that are easy to fit.

Ok original. Not great, but then again what car was at this time? Little money spent and you can have a fully up-to-date security system.

Service is ok for parts, but some garages can be a bit funny.

Superb!! Very strong engine and mind-boggling performance. Just the supercharger needs looking after.

Clutch can get a bit funny in heavy traffic.
