What does this car say about you?
What do your friends / family / neighbours think of the car?
very popular, looks great.
Would you buy this car again and why?
Yes, this car would be hard to replace for the combination of practicality, performance, reasonable economy and good looks.
What are you likely to buy next?
Anything similar, or any coupe with a decent engine and comfort, Mercedes, Volvo.
Type of dealer you bought from?
Did you buy this car new?
What price did you pay?
When did you buy the car?
Did you get a good deal and why?
A lot of car for the money, good warranty too. Quite well prepared and in good condition so peace of mind is a big factor.
Is there any special reason why you bought this car?
Good combination of comfort and power. Very good looks.
What was the dealer like?
Very helpful, not pushy, as expected. 10 out of 10.
What's it like to drive?
Very smooth when you get going especially on motorways. The C70 is a big beastie but it turns in well for corners and is quite poised - don't try slalom through the cones though as it's not a lightweight. You need to use kick down to get the turbo spinning but it takes off nicely in the mid range from 3000 rpm upwards.
What's it like to park?
This car doesn't do small spaces so dont take anything for granted. No parking space is too big.
Living with it
Have you had any problems with the car?
Engine management/electronic throttle (seems to be a common fault) but repair covered by warranty.
What's most practical about your car?
Big boot, oh yes (if you can get things through the narrow boot opening) although the centre arm rest does fold down to allow long thin objects to pass through into the car. Seats (heated) are nice and comfy to live with.
Favourite gadget, option or accessory?
Cruise control with an auto box, lazy and easy. Switch on the drivers info system (optional) and watch the mpg swing from one extreme to the other.
