What does this car say about you?

Not alot really, I bought it for what it was rather than what it looked like. Though I do like its looks my wife didn't :)

What do your friends / family / neighbours think of the car?

those who have been in it always comment about how quiet and solid feeling it is.

Would you buy this car again and why?

Yes definitley, it's my first Volvo and I am very very impressed, this car is a tank. I don't mean that in a bad way, I mean its extreamly solid feeling, 11 years old and not a single rattle or squeak anywhere. It goes like a rocket and handles brilliantly, the only thing i would say against it is the economy. But then it's a 2.0T auto so its not going to be great is it. To sum it up, this is a great car in everyway.

What are you likely to buy next?

Another Volvo of course, but the V50 this time. I do keep looking at them but just can't justify it when there is nothing wrong with what I have now.

    No

    £1,900

When did you buy the car?

    March 2008

Did you get a good deal and why?

I think so, 53k miles with full volvo service history, not a scratch on it inside or out. Like new.

Wanted something with a bit of poke but yet still practicle

  • Driving it

    What's it like to drive?

Brilliant, I've never had a car which was so nice to drive. It's the 2.0T so has plenty of power, I drive sensible most of the time but when you do get some idiot trying to race you it's nice to see them in your rear view mirror. The handling is also excellent, goes round corners like its on rails, grips the road and no roll.

    What's it like to park?

I find it easy, good visibility all round. It took me a bit of time to realise how far forward the bonnet goes though, further than it looks from inside.

Have you had any problems with the car?

    Nope nothing

What's most practical about your car?

Being an estate, my family always struggled going on holiday with space. Last holiday we had, myself, wife and 3 kids along with our dog (and his cage) and all our luggage fitted in fine :)

    Favourite gadget, option or accessory?

It's the SX so it has aircon/ elec windows etc but nothing special. The interior is very nice though and very hard wearing. It's survived 3 kids and a dog climbing all over it with no signs of wear at all. Just wipes clean again. My old car a renault scenic didn't suffer the same abuse well.
