• Summary

What does this car say about you?

I like standing out from the crowd.

What do your friends / family / neighbours think of the car?

Love that it is completely different from the norm and how it looks. Like the really performance looking nature of the car.

Would you buy this car again and why?

No, not because I don't like the car I love it but with being in full time employment now my next is likely a brand new 595 competizione or a Biposto. Sticking with the abarth brand as it really does make you feel special.

What are you likely to buy next?

    Biposto 695 or 595 competizione(The new 180 bhp version).

    August 2014

Did you get a good deal and why?

As good as I could get as had - equity on previous car.

Is there any special reason why you bought this car?

It is a rare Esseesse model.

    What was the dealer like?

Done a good job but initially numbers didn't add up and were quite abrupt and cheeky when questioned.

  • Driving it

    5 out of 5 5.0

    What's it like to drive?

Fast, sharp handling, lots of grip, a hoot to drive! Only downside is the large 18" alloys and firm suspension meaning a firm ride but not a massive issue as I knew that buying the car and the large wheels and suspension make the car look even better.

    What's it like to park?

As any hatch is, quite easy although miss the rear parking sensors of my previous car at times.

  • Living with it

Have you had any problems with the car?

Nothing that wasn't repaired by the dealership. USB slot wouldn't play my music from Ipod, new convergence unit fitted under 1 month warranty when car was bought. Was put up on a ramp for a check over by my mechanic brother in law and found all 4 wheels to be buckled. After finding out from the previous owners the garage within the franchise dealership they sold the car too knew that when they moved the car onto another garage I was livid. The garage I purchased the car from were brilliant though, I found them cheaper wheels from italy instead of there own abarth branch and got them for half the price. 1 alloy paint started to flake, was given £300 as compensation from Perth AC jeep to have the wheels refurbed and a little compensation payment as well, couldn't fault them.

What's most practical about your car?

Even though it is a fast hot hatch on par with ST fiesta, ibizia cupra etc still averages between 36-47 mpg depending on motorway use.

    Favourite gadget, option or accessory?

    Sabelt race seats.
