Value
Very good- buy now - Similar prices to Golf and I know which I would prefer!
Costs
Not bad for this type of car - fuel is very good at around 32mpg. Servicing is good if a specialist is used instead of dealer.

Very good to drive. Comfortable and quiet, even at high motorway speeds.
Performance
This thing flies! If this is your first turbo car, you will be very impressed. Once it revs up to about 3000 rpm, turbo kicks in and you're away.

Reliability
Well as I said, mine has clocked up 150,000 miles and is still in A1 condition. No major work, only just had to replace exhaust, but thats it.

A very classy squat looking hatch factory lowered suspension helps with mean stance, higher wasteline than Golf so is much prettier.
Comfort
A excellently put together cabin. Mine has done 150,000 miles and has no sqeaks, rattles etc. Nice quiet ambience.

Not tested thankfully, but Audi Cat 1 should do the trick and very visible LEDs on doors good deterent.

Had a recall about brake lines. Very friendly with tea and cakes on offer and extremely quick!
