I thought I did until I discovered the quality problems

Is there any special reason why you bought this car?

Had A6 2.7TDi previously and had been pleased with this.

What was the dealer like?

Fine until I discovered some probems at which point the dealer through which I purchased this car did not return calls and was difficult about resolving these issues

What's it like to drive?

Difficult getting used to very high bite point on clutch which contributed to regular stalling particularly when trying to pull away fast. First gear has very little acceleration. Comfortable drive once moving.

What's it like to park?

Fine.

Have you had any problems with the car?

The oil indicator light has come on twice in this period in only 3000 miles. The dealership justified that this was acceptable on the basis that the handbook states that upto 0.5L of oil per 1000 km is 'normal'. Somewhat surprising that Audi believes that this is OK in 2007. Other faults were a rattle, which the dealership tracked down on their second attempt, and a juddery clutch that regularly caused the car to stall in awkward places (eg when crossing busy dual carriage ways). They replaced the clutch plates which has helped.

What's most practical about your car?

Plenty of space, good fuel economy, good satnav, ability to control many controls from the steering wheel, comfortable ride
