After owning a subaru impreza RB5 for ten years i decided I wanted something a bit less hectic to drive. I've always like the mk1 TT, so I started looking for a decent second hand one and found a nice Audi Avus silver one. It's easy to drive and comfortable, quite economical if you don't floor it and it's 4 wheel drive which I got used to with the subaru. Although the subaru was and out and out drivers machine and quick. The TT feels quite mundane, but I'm used to it now. It's now reached modern classic status and apart from being my every day car. I also show it a different classic car shows.
How reliable do you find the car?
The usual things on the older TTs. Sensors. Coil packs and and dash pod problems, but easily fixable with food mechanic.
Does the car do everything you expected it to do?
Good every day little sports car. Easy to drive. Comfortable. Good mpg if you don't floor it all of the time.
